I’m surprised no one has mentioned Lovecraft Tattoo near Sleeping Giant. Very talented artists, and clean. I’ve personally gone to them for years.

Ask for Nick at Burning hearts in Hamden. Only person in the area I trust for piercings. Also recommend black diamond and stay true but they aren’t in new haven area

It’s in Middlebury, but Rob and Mike from Lucky Rose Tattoo are great!!! 203-598-1759 and they have good hours Friday and Saturday 12 to 10, M & W 12-8 T & R 12 to 5 closed Sunday. Really super clean place!!!

Keys on Kites is pretty good with friendly staff / easy to book with parking in the back. Body Art & Soul only does tattoos - it’s is on state street where Zees used to be is also a decent place. parking can suck though depending on the day.
