Hi all, no plans this year unfortunately and I'd rather not spend it at home moping, etc.

Any thoughts on things to do, whether it's going somewhere around town, volunteering, etc? Open to ideas...thank you

While I don’t have a specific idea, I want to wish you a happy Thanksgiving. It’s cool that you reached out for suggestions. Volunteering is a smart move. Take good care.

Thank you. Family is far and friends are few and occupied—so I need something to keep me distracted, if not make me feel like I’m not wasting my time.

Happy holiday to you too.

my family & i used to volunteer at soup kitchens on thanksgiving, it's an old tradition that's fallen by the wayside; i'm thinking about reinstating it next year. it could be tough work but it was really pretty nice.

Christopher Martin’s holds a thanksgiving day food/clothing giveaway for homeless people, I’m sure they wouldn’t mind a volunteer.
