I saw that they put what looks like some temporary signage over the old Blue State sign, but I wasn’t sure if they’re actually open yet.

It is!!!! They are only offering pastries, coffee, and espresso currently, but should be expanding to a full kitchen within the next coming months!

They are open. Owner of blue state stole all the equipment she was supposed to leave after selling the place so their menu is limited

Correction, while owner was TERRIBLE she didn’t steal the equipment and actually sold it w the building. Most of the equipment needed to be serviced and was so severely rusted over and disgusting that the G staff declared it unusable! Hope this clears up some confusion :-)

This isn’t true. Idk where you heard from this but the owner was, at the least, led to believe he was keeping the equipment from Blue State. This is a first hand account

G cafe is the best. I go to the one on Chapel for my morning coffee and the atmosphere there is always so welcoming.
