Hi, I am looking for recommendations for any good sports bars in New Haven showing the remaining World Cup matches.

Some in r/Connecticut have suggested Trinity bar or Cannon.

Are there any bigger bars around New Haven showing the matches?

Thanks on advance!

I think East Rock Brewery is showing the matches and is a great place to hang for a while. Plus it’s bring your own food, so you can order out or grab something from the market next door and just chill without feeling like you’re taking up a waiter’s time by monopolizing a table

Thank you for your suggestion. That sounds pretty good to me. I'll look it up and maybe try it this week.

Do they have large screens or just the normal sized tvs?

Christopher Martins, Archie Moores, etc. really any neighborhood bar with some tvs will have it

If you’re looking for a bigger bar, maybe look into that Sports Haven? I’ve never once been, but it looks like it would be a big spot with bigger screens and maybe projectors. Like a BWW? Idk

But others have already mentioned the absolute best option there is, Trinity. Phenomenal staff, atmosphere, food, and of course drinks. Now that the US is out I’m not sure they’ll draw insane crowds like they have been for the US matches, which could be a good thing if you want an actual seat. But I’d expect they’d still draw a crowd for the afternoon/weekend matches. And can’t speak highly enough about their staff and the food they offer, everything is top notch

Thank you. I think I'll head to Trinity as you and many here and in r/Connecticut have thrown that name many times. Sounds like a great place to try and as you said the US is out so hopefully crowds have died down a bit.

Trinity. During the last few world cups, the city actually opened an outside viewing area right next to Trinity, but that was during the summer.
