So im a European staying in New Haven for a couple of months and I wanted to ask people living here some questions. Where should i visit? Any parks, museums, landmarks, night active places, anything that sparks your interest - recommend them! I know Pepe's and Sallys pizza but what are some other must-try food joints? Also if someone could answer some weed realted questions - slide in my dms!

Thanks!

Idk where you’re coming from from Europe but if you might like an Irish themed pub, try Trinity on Orange Street - always great beer, food, and service. Could give other more specific suggestions based on your preferences

Happy to answer weed questions, feel free to reply or dm either works

Reataurants - Louis lunch, the Union league cafe, bar, the pantry, Claire’s cornucopia, Atticus bookstore cafe. Try out some diners. Ie the Parthenon in Branford. It’s not that diner food is the best there is, but diners are an American institution.

The original towns in CT are all built on parks called greens. All the churches and town halls were built around them. So you’ll see the New Haven green. When you visit surrounding towns, make it a point to see the town green. The guilford green is really nice, so is branfords.

For museums - Yale Art gallery and the Peabody are quite good. If you head to the casinos - the Indian museum is very good also - that’s at the Foxwoods casino. Wadsworth atheneum is hartford is good along with the art museum in new Britain.

Visit the mohegan sun casino. Even if you don’t like to gamble - it’s interesting to walk around.

Visit Hammonasset beach in Madison, east rock park in New Haven and go to the top, light house pint in New Haven. Google connecticut state parks. There are quite a few.

As someone said - you really can’t beat the train in to nyc. Take advantage of that. You can also take trains to Boston or providence ri. Even to hartford.

State Street Cafe is the absolute best brunch spot in the area. There's usually a decent wait to get a table, but is completely worth it.
