i’ve lived in new haven for quite a bit now, but i’m originally from a small town in the south. i’ve never seen so many people on dirt bikes, motorcycles, or four wheelers. (im not really sure how to tell the difference, i’ve never been into stuff like that)

i’ve noticed a lot of people in new haven are bad/aggressive drivers (speeding and running red lights), but i don’t understand how groups of people riding motorcycles can just crowd around your car or totally interrupt the flow of traffic with no consequences?

a few months back i was driving down goffe st and this group of like 30 people were just filling spaces inbetween cars, getting very close, and causing a lot of jams. again, i didn’t grow up in new england so i don’t know if this is a common experience or if it’s a recent thing

Yes, it’s a New England thing. LLBean, leaf peeping, beaches, and dirt bikes.

It’s huge in Philly, Pittsburgh, Baltimore as well. I’m not sure why some cities deal with this and others don’t.

Also saw this catching on in Durham and Raleigh NC. Hopefully a trend that will lose interest soon enough

Many localities here have a no chase policy if it's not a major crime, so yeah we're fucked. I got clipped by one of them on freakin easter on Whitney ave when riding my bicycle home from work
