As soon as we move in we're going to need to apply for SNAP, Medicaid, and anything else we can. Here in NY you don't really do it in person anymore, but I've read that in New Haven we should just walk in to the DSS office. Is that right? I think in person would be good because we have some unusual details. But I'm not sure if we are better off applying online and then talking to them in the interview. We want this to be as smooth and quick as possible. Any kind advice is welcome. Thx.

If there are some unusual details you need to provide, you probably would be better off going in person, but it will likely be a bit of a wait depending on the time of day you go.
