Good customer service but HORRIBLY overpriced. Like 4x the price of other places. Went there for wheel bearings and rotors and was getting quoted at $2k-$3k per wheel and they try to sell you on stuff you don’t need. Said my brake pads were low when they were 6mm and you need to replace them at 1.5mm. They’re fake and try to use their customer service to sell you at absurd prices
Tripp’s on Whalley Ave. honest and quality work.
The ONLY mechanic I would trust with my vehicle le; I've recommended him to everyone I know. Not only is he a highly skilled mechanic, but an honest and respectable man!
Rich is great. Highly recommend them!
This is what I do. No complaints
Kurt’s Automotive on Dixwell Ave Hamden, I know 20 customers he does great work.
I really like ricks auto in Hamden. They’ll be honest about what work actually needs to be done and what can wait, and they always do a nice job.
I'll second Rick's in Hamden. He's a good guy. Took a car there once because the right front was making a horrible noise when I turned right. I'm thinking a few hundred $$$ worth of work. When I go pick it up, he told me there was ice/snow packed into the wheel and he melted it off. No charge, even though he obviously spent time diagnosing what the noise was. He's also completely reasonable for other work. Done oil changes, brakes, O2 sensors, etc. over the years for me.
Third vote for Ricks. They’re all the things mentioned.
Torello Tire. East Haven
Westwood Motors in West Haven. Sal is a legend.
Keating Automotive in Hamden on Whitney has been good to me.

Emmett’s on Campbell Ave in West Haven. They always did right by me.
Amity Motors in Woodbridge.
Frank Shea in Hamden on Whitney Ave, just over the New Haven/ Hamden Line by Eli Whitney Dam/Museum. Honest, knowledgeable and trustworthy
Wow, apparently a lot of good car people in New Haven area. Aquila motors in Westville has been good by me.
Howie’s auto electric in North Haven has fair prices & are good with last minute appointments
