My name is Trevor and I’m the lead singer of a band from Killingly and we are looking to book gigs and was looking into what venues are there in New Haven. We are a symphonic hard rock group that plays original music only so coffeehouses and traditional bars wouldn’t really work for us. Do you have any suggestions on where to try? Thanks!

cafe 9, stella blues, local breweries like 12 Percent have bands on the weekends.

Stella blues has live music 7 nights a week and is a good spot to get into downtown. They also have an open mic night on Tuesdays. The Cellar on Treadwell in Hamden is also a great venue with great food. There are other good venues to play in town but those two are probably the most accessible places to try to start playing the area

Yes and Three Sheets. If you are super open to people and places from all walks of life, then also the cozy confines of Neverending Bookstore and also at Gather

the space hasn't existed for quite a few years. there is a venue in the same spot called "the cellar on treadwell" and another venue across the parking lot called "the space ballroom" which is unrelated to the original and doesn't really book local bands.
