what else could it be for? that’s the only ticket i got originally pulled over for speeding

That’s strange because normally they would just give 39:3-75. I think that sub statute is for not having the medical certificate with you (assuming you claimed to Have one) so the court appearance would probably be to exhibit it to the court to prove you in fact have one.
