I have had tints on the front windows for going on 10 years. Only pulled over once….the windshield is what did you in bc it’s more noticeable obviously. Police suck nuts.

Lol are you serious? I bought the car that isn’t street legal. Why should I have to change anything? Lol

Edit: Officer, the car had no doors or seatbelts when I bought it so you can’t give me a ticket.

Officer, the car was spewing an opaque black cloud of smoke when I bought it so I don’t need to get it inspected.

Lol so dumb

Around $100-200. But i thought I read that they can also suspend the car registration until the tint is removed. BUT it’s allowed in the back and passenger windows

Tint protects skin and interior of car. No reason it should be illegal. The law is there because police need to see in the front of the car. The law should instead state you need to roll your windows down if you get pulled over. It’s not a driving safety issue because a) police tint their windows and b) many states allow tinted windows

You might be able to attend court remotely. I was able to sometime last year for a violation that required court appearance. Call the number provided and find out

You're not wrong - less sun means less sun damage, but you're kidding yourself if you think this is why people tint their windows . They like the look and the anonimity it provides. Sort of like guys who wear sunglasses at night.

$54 state wide. If you got a court appearance, the ticket is not for tints.

That’s strange because normally they would just give 39:3-75. I think that sub statute is for not having the medical certificate with you (assuming you claimed to Have one) so the court appearance would probably be to exhibit it to the court to prove you in fact have one.
