What is the intersection you have to frequently use that needs to be blown up and rebuilt (even if by magic)? Note that I'm not talking about things like Rt 22 (which is a disaster of its own category), or the Space Noodle near Woodbridge with 6 different highways, but more local roads that just suck or are super dangerous or whatever.

My choice? The Griggstown causeway. People getting onto the single-lane bridge from Canal are *supposed* to Yield to those turning onto the bridge from River. Unfortunately, due to the way the sightlines are and the intersection is setup, far too often at high traffic times you get a steady stream of cars crossing the bridge from Canal onto River, thereby blocking up traffic in *BOTH* directions on River Rd from the people who want to turn onto the bridge.

And that's not including when you get halfway onto the bridge (from either direction) and someone decides to start crossing from the other way, meaning someone has to decide to back up, assuming there's no one behind the cars in question.

Plus, of course, the stupid thing closes as soon as we get more than 5 minutes of rain, which doesn't exactly help matters, because the next closest crossings are Blackwell Mills Causeway (which also tends to flood, but is at least a lane each way) and Amwell, both of which require a large detour.

That entire area is going to be one big mess soon. Construction will soon begin on the southern part of rt 17 past the gsp which will only cause back ups on the both 17 and 4 going to that area.

It's a much needed expansion of a 3rd lane in that bottleneck and it'll be a true test of our patience.

Is that seriously happening though? I thought they were in the beginning planning stages of it. So probably wont get done closer to 2030

I read something that it's starting this Spring and I honestly would not be surprised if it goes into 2030 before being completed.

Thank goodness we recently moved from that area and up the rt 208 corridor but still go into that area every signle day.

All the ones without left arrows and make you wait multiple light cycles to have clear passage to make left

NJ should add flashing yellow left arrows like much of the country has done. Allows you to turn when safe. Much more efficient than "left on green arrow only". Only appropriate at intersections with adequate sight distance.

Fr. This is so horrible for the flow of traffic.

no? jughandles allow a much higher volume of traffic over left turn lanes on a light cycle, especially on multi lane highways.

For years, it was the 3 / 46 merge both directions - got into accidents both east- and west- bound. Neither my fault. They have since corrected, but I moved and do not need to use it.
