Around $200 a month for a 1,400 sq house. PSE&G...gas runs the water heater, range/oven and the furnace. Our heat doesn't actually run a lot because we use our wood burning stove mostly when home. Heat is set at 66 and only runs when sleeping. We have an older home from the 1950's so it's a little drafty.

Most homes don’t have a wood burning stove anymore.

It was installed in 2017, so it's possible to help the costs of heating a home. I love it.Also, not everyone in NJ lives in suburbia or a city, there are still some of us country folk left.

I love wood stoves, especially because you can leave a pot of water on it to help add humidity.
