$600 seems insanely high. Maybe need to reinsulate? Ours is $200-300 per month in winter with NJNG. ~2,700 square feet for 2 stories plus additional finished basement with heating. Gas also fuels gas fireplace, hot water heater, and stove. Usually keep thermostat at 70-71 during the day and 67-68 at night.
