When I live in South Jersey there was a donation dumpster at gas stations , grocery stores etc I can’t find any in Essex County (prob bc I order my groceries online).

I’m moving in a few days and have 4 trash bags full of good clothes mostly for kids.

Can you donate shoes? I also have shoes that don’t smell in good condition I barely wore. Should I trash those or can I donate them?

Salvation army will pick them up at your doorstep. Also a Lupus foundation does also.

In West Orange there is an Exxon gas station at the corner of Eagle Rock Ave. and Prospect Ave. They have several donation boxes there. I believe it's Salvation Army and another charity. There is also a drop box at Our Lady of Lourdes church in West Orange (it's in the back parking lot).

Seton Hall University has collection boxes that they donate to shelters in Newark.
