Nope not a scam at all. It’s a nice little box with like 3-4 LED lights along with a good power strip and some other fun little nicknacks. Pretty worth it

I got a similar one from PSE&G when I bought my house last year and the nightlights are great, they included a really nice sleek desk lamp too.

No, got one - power strip was the best

Probably not. PSE&G (northern NJ) sends out stuff like this, but they charge us. I've gotten a case of 12 LED lights, power strips, weatherstripping - just for $1 or $3 shipping.
Last year they sold me a Google Nest thermostat for $10.

The utilities want us to be more power-efficient.

Went all LED years back when it was still somewhat expensive (now costco has 6pk for $3-5 on sale), still easily paid for itself.

It was something like a 75-80% drop in consumption for my place. Bill was so much cheaper it was jaw dropping.

Got mine this week, definitely not a scam. Power strip, lower flow shower head, nightlights, light bulbs and more.

Make sure you install the furnace whistle so it can go off at 2:00 AM, just like the smoke alarm with the dying battery!

Bodvarr OP t1_j9w6vne wrote

I don't even know what that is haha

Tall_Kayak_Guy t1_j9ykwhn wrote

It's a two piece plastic whistle that you pierce through your furnace filter. When the filter becomes clogged, it forces more air through the plastic piece and makes an annoying whistle noise (most likely at 2:00 AM!).

You know, every fucking LED light bulb that I’ve replaced old incandescent bulbs with has died, each lasting for a significantly lesser amount of time than just regular old light bulbs. Just throwing my two cents into this.

Yes, Jersey Central is a scam, much better performance from PSE&G (not that you have a choice in your electric utility monopoly)
