When can I start checking my refund status?
- 4 weeks or more after you file electronically;
- At least 12 weeks after you mail your return;
- 15 weeks or more for additional processing requirements or paper returns sent by certified mail.

Oh okay I misunderstood and thought you meant they hadn't accepted it yet. NJ always takes at least a month to deposit refunds in my experience, the longest I remember being 3 months. Maybe it depends on the complexity of the return or something, idk.

Nj usually doesn't start issuing refunds until March 1st, even if you filed early

Weird. NJ accepted mine days later this year, haven't received the refund yet though. Filed on the 30th.
