it feels like a fever dream but I remember going with like girls scouts almost 30 years ago and there was just like a garden of rocks, and a pond with rocks in it, and a blacklight room with glow in the dark rocks, please someone tell me they know what I’m talking about.

I took my daughters one summer around 7 years ago. It was only open on weekends at the time (supposedly) and we didn’t realize and went midweek. It was still pretty cool and a little spooky walking around the property, it was mostly outdoors anyway.

If you wanna check out an amazing rock museum go to sterling hill mine! Then take a tour of the mines and you’ll actually see them glow rainbow when the guide turns on the black lights

Amazing experience and well worth the trip!!! Highly recommend it to everyone

Grew up 7 mins from there!! Used to go all the time with my family. Had a whole collection of the colored rocks and shark teeth you could get in the gift shop. What a time to be alive

I grew up just around the corner and would ride bikes there as a kid to have picnics in the summer. They always let us hang out around the museum/property with the exception of the gift shop. As someone else said, I always wanted to have my wedding there but by that time they were already closed. The Weird NJ link shows the clown and you can often see him thru the woods off Mounts Mills during the fall/winter.

Are you sure it was central? Sounds like Sterling Hill in Sparta.
