Yea “Chinatown” is pretty disingenuous, if anything it’s more of a “ktown”

eh, the Hmart plaza is sort of its own Korean island in Edison (and debatable as half of the restaurants in that same plaza are Chinese as well). There are many more Chinese/Taiwanese businesses, and not just restaurants, in the surrounding area along Rt 27 and 1.

Yea I was replying to the hmart comment specifically. Idk about half being Chinese though…. Even Paris baguette is Korean owned

But yea you are right there’s other businesses along 27 and 1.

check the west side building on gmaps, all of the restaurants there are Chinese (happy lamb hotpot, tasty moment, dunhuang etc)

Yeah some on the side like tasty moment and the hot pot spot. Also some Chinese places on 27 down the road. I’d say it’s Asia town. Maybe not Chinatown or Ktown. But I guess you could say Edison is basically Asia town with all the Indian spots too.
