For three months, I'd suggest an extended stay hotel. The rooms will have a decently-equipped kitchen (so you can go shopping and cook meals if you like) and of course a bed, and usually a little sitting area. This way you won't have to worry about furnishings, setting up utilities, internet, etc.

That said, you can also have the USPS forward your mail for the few months you'll be there and pick it up at the front desk. I did exactly this for four months back in 2007 - definitely would recommend it. I stayed at a Residence Inn, for what it's worth.

thank you!! I’ll definitely look into it, the few hotels i saw were over $100 a night so I’m looking to see if I can find a better deal with a short term lease

Sure! Honestly, it's worth talking to someone in person (or, if you can't, over the phone) about a long-term rate; I was able to get my stay down to $65/night due to the length of my stay.

Don't forget about discounts, too - AAA and the like - could reduce the rate further.
