I don't know enough about Paterson's PD to have an opinion. Can someone please elaborate for me? Preferably someone who is local to Paterson.

They’re horrendous. A couple of years ago the feds came in and arrested 8 or so officers for crazy shit. They just went around pulling over young people and robbing them, among other things. A couple of weeks ago they were called to a mental health crisis, refused to let community members who knew him talk to him and then shot and killed the guy.

I work in Paterson and they’re really the worst. Most of things you’d call a normal PD for, don’t even bother with them because they’re useless.

The 8'ish cops were arreated for robbing motorists while on duty and in uniform. Because they are/were cops they weren't charged with armed robbery, but other stuff. A bunch went to jail (little more than a slap). And the may have to serve some of their sentences. The police union helped them get some of their back pay and said they didnt "agree with their actions". Thats the closest those shit heads (police union) came to condemning the thug cops. Can anyone add/correct me?

They did it to Camden. There were visible changes. But also, the citizens felt skeptical.

They are good at grabbing the headlines. Not so much in effecting actual change. You can change leadership without the drama.

I wonder what his political aspirations are.
