Unless you wanna go on a 2+ hour road trip with your friend to eat a steak, maybe post your location first.

Dino and Harry’s in Hoboken. But if you’re from somewhere south, that’s like stopping at the 1 yard line instead of going into Manhattan.

I’m going to Rail’s next month for an event. I’m vegan but before I went vegan I had one of the best steak’s of my life there.

Great steakhouse and speakeasy downstairs

Yeah my event is going to be in the Speakeasy. I was supposed to go to one down there in October but my sons decided they wanted to be born early that same week.

Hands down the River Palm.

But IMO you have to cross the Hudson for the whole experience.

Arthur’s in Morris Plains and Rod’s in Madison

Arthur's dropped off hard during COVID. I've gotten two inedible (as in, impossible to chew) "medium rare" Delmonicos for the past two birthdays, not going back.

Arthur’s is terrible—big steaks full of fat. For the life of me I can’t understand why so many people love it other than it’s cheap 🤷‍♀️

My experience has been the same. They still have a solid burger but the steaks haven’t been the greatest. I’d rather pay a little bit more somewhere else for a better product.

Any of the Roots Steakhouses. I always go to the Morristown location and it's better than anything I've had in the state taking into account steaks, sides, and overall atmosphere.

Not Jersey but might as well be, Three Oak in Easton PA

I ate there last week and it was good but holy shit is their sauce salty.

My top 3:

River Palm (honestly better than most of the NYC joints)

Rails (great building, service, and the best sides and non-steak dishes.

Roots: Prob best service on the list, coziest ambiance, best bar list.

HM to Rare, killer happy hour deals.

River palm edgewater, and much lesser known but amazing Prime and Beyond in fort Lee. Run by Koreans, it's also a butcher shop. A fantastic place to get an amazing steak and some kimchi fried rice.
