I’m recently relocated to NJ from Texas and am wanting to find a place to rent a vendor booth for my hobby business. I make hand crafted crystal jewelry and some resin products.

Previously, I sold my products at an antique mall in Texas and I’m basically looking to do the same thing here in NJ or even PA.

Any advice on where to start? I’ve googled thrift stores, consignment shops and antique malls, but I’m hoping Reddit can help point me in the right direction to find a really good location for my brand.

Edit: I’m currently living in Linden.

Edit: in Texas I rented a booth inside of a store that was open 7 days a week. I was only required to keep my shelves stocked and help out with the store about 4 hours a month. Looking for a similar situation.

Edit: I do currently sell online but am looking specifically to sell locally.

You didn’t say where you were located. There are a few good flea markets with indoor spots. Columbus, Englishtown and Collingswood.

Anywhere in NJ would be fine for me. I’m in Linden but open to options in the whole state.

I’m hoping to find a store that’s open throughout the week that I can stock up and drive traffic to. Flea markets are fine for the days that I can go and sit in one place to sell stuff but I’m wanting to set up shop at a brick and mortar location that doesn’t require me to be there everyday.

There’s a tiny niche gift shop in Roselle Park called “Just Jubilant”. They have a really big variety of cool stuff, much of it handmade and local (I think). Stuff like coffee mugs with inspirational quotes, joke/gag gifts, jewelry, collectibles, etc. Kind of like a cooler, less corporate, more intimate version of a Hallmark Store. The owner works the store when it’s open, and while I’m not 100% sure if she would be willing to stock some of your stuff, it can’t hurt to ask.. especially since it’s like 20 minutes away from you. Website is https://www.justjubilant.com if you want to check it out.

Another cool thing about this place: they’ll wrap anything you bring to the store. Really a lifesaver at Christmas time for us gift-wrapping-impaired people.

Maybe Lambertville Flea Market ("Golden Nugget")?

Maybe on of Ocean Grove's craft sales days?

Check out https://jcpromotions.info/calendar/ - they run TONS of Street Fairs and Flea Markets in NJ, and they’re constantly adding more. When I first started checking their website 5+ years ago, they had like 5-10 Fairs they produced. There are DOZENS now.. one almost every weekend during spring, summer and fall. If you tap on the event name/date, there’s a link to register your booth/table and/or contact info if you have questions.

That website is also a great resource for people who are just looking for something to do on a random Saturday or Sunday, too.

Good luck!

I do too, there’s a lot of competition here in Nj for this. There are plenty of weekend events though if you look for them.

I’ve found some stuff on Eventbrite for pop up shops. Is there any other place I should look to find events?

Maybe type in street fair. There are also FB groups that post craft events by state.

Have an Etsy store and go to as many flea and farmers markets until you get your name out there
