Do you purchase fresh pecans for pecan pie? If so, where?

I went to a few grocery stores this week, I could only find the Diamond or store brand bagged ones. I’ve only made pecan pie once, any advice would be fantastic!

Not that it really matters but I’m in central Jersey/the “shore.”

Gently roast some store bought bagged pecans and you'll still have one delicious pecan pie.

Trerhune orchards right outside of Lawrenceville. They have the best pies, definitely pick up more than one kind

Any pecans will work. I get mine when I am in Dallas but I freeze them so I don’t think it really matters just go for it! It’s going to be better than anything you purchase. Cheers

People don't read, they just look at the title and assume. Lesson of the day, be explicit in the actual title. You're going to get several more comments on where to buy pies gif
