It's poking fun at people who think letting up on their control is a freight train to hell. My kids are young. Haven't had the question yet. But I'm not worried about what other people tell them because I have the type of relationship where they're comfortable asking their parents about things and I can help them wrap their heads around it.

I don't need to be the first person to expose them to new things. That's not healthy or realistic.

And that is your decision for your children. I would think its simple respect to reciprocate and allow for other people to manage their own children too. No criticism of poking fun though, its a free country, that's the point.
