I like this idea but I don’t want to pay for every person that wants to run ever, especially if they had no chance of winning anyway. I think there should be a limit to how much you’re allowed to raise and no contributing yourself and if people like your policies they can donate and if not well you probably didn’t have much of a chance to win anyway.

Not everyone who wants to run, only those who get the appropriate number of signatures on the petition and comply with all other criteria in order to be a legitimate candidate.
