IMO political ads shouldn’t be allowed

Political ads not from the campaign itself should be banned. These fly by night Committees backed by other committees and shell organizations are despicable.

But is the Hess truck back and better than ever?

Very true. The way these politicians funnel money through committees and other companies is crazy. The constant political signs every half a foot for miles also needs to end

It's getting to the point where I might even welcome hearing "1-877- kars4kids"....

I haven’t heard or viewed a single ad. I only steam stuff and listen to podcasts/music. I havent watched an ad In Years in fact. It’s glorious.

Political ads should be limited to statements of what the candidate in a particular ad intends to do if they are elected. Each candidate running for office should be given a set amount of money and not allowed to add donor money or personal money. This would level the playing field and prevent candidates from buying elections ala Bloomberg. Attack ads should be banned and a candidate who is elected to office should be held to account before being able to run for re election as to their performance versus the promises/claims that were made in the prior campaign.

You’ll be pleased to know my mom still buys them every single year for her children (30s).

Why?! For what purpose are we collecting mass produced boxed Hess trucks that no one plays with?!

in two more weeks we'll get our 9 month respite from them. then we get the statehouse election ones starting up, then a respite, then the shitshow that will be 2024.

We should be able to vote in American Idol style to disable them.

100000%. The way some of these news talk and the words they use to manipulate. Hate it. On the other hand, The last Hess truck came with a nice JET that comes out the trucks trailer. My nephew LOVED IT.

The NY Governor ones are the worst. And Lee Zeldin’s lies about crime “skyrocketing” (it hasn’t, still historically low) are actually having an impact. If that Trumper wins the Governorship I’m gonna puke.

I was unaware that my country had become a crime-ridden hellscape until I stopped skipping past tv commercials.

I’ve just never understood people willingness to have a third of their tv viewing time sucked into commercials. Before streaming, even before TiVo, I used to program my vcr to tape all my shows and sports games. I used to love starting a football game like an hour late and speeding through the commercials to finish watching as the game ended. This isn’t new tech people. Screw these ad men/women.

It's getting ridiculous, I've gotten two text this week from someone bashing democrats and asking if I'll vote republican. I already hate the two party system but nothing makes me want to not vote for your brainwashed party more than a text message about the other political party.

I like this idea but I don’t want to pay for every person that wants to run ever, especially if they had no chance of winning anyway. I think there should be a limit to how much you’re allowed to raise and no contributing yourself and if people like your policies they can donate and if not well you probably didn’t have much of a chance to win anyway.

I’m so sick of both sides telling you the candidate is “too extreme” for NJ! What is too extreme?? Yikes. Anyone who wants to make actual change?? Who believes in abortion rights?? Give me a break. I’m in the same camp - I want the ads to 🛑.
