I actually enjoyed that, got me looking into civil war history. It wasn't healthy but, it was entertaining.

Did you see that map of NJ recently, dividing the state into “regions”?

Look at a map of the Mason Dixon line’s northern end, then instead of dipping south to Delaware, draw a straight line across NJ to the ocean.

It’s a pretty accurate indicator of what a lot of people are like.

Just sayin’.

ETA: I googled it, here you go:

23 The Mason-Dixon line does not technically run through New Jersey, but if the border between Pennsylvania and Maryland were extended due east, it would run south of Penns Grove, north of Hammonton and just below Barnegat. 24 In 1765 Reuben Tucker bought land off the southern tip of Long Beach Island.Feb 1, 2008

Because people never understand, despite the signs and illegality 🤦🏻‍♂️

ukcats12 t1_it308vg wrote

Because it's basically not enforced. I often dream about being a cop whose only job is to pull over left lane campers.

They should be ticketing drivers who don’t use headlights when they should. People be driving along, thinking “I can see the road!”, while no one else can see THEM.

Idiots.

Cabincleaninglady t1_it5f5jj wrote

I once got pulled over for “passing on the right.” I said “I’m maintaining the right lane.” Free to go!!

The cold will kill most of the spotted lanternflies. The only ones that survive are the ones not affected by the cold. Which means in a couple years, our official state bug will be active all year round. Then we can draw region maps of how we kill spotted lanternflies:

Your Region: Yes
Neighboring Region: Yes
Region You Don't Like: season our pork roll before eating it
Shore: Yes

Its a meme. It takes time for memes to run their course. Sometimes they linger. And, some memes become endemic and never completely go away. Like Taylor Ham and the left lane is illegal.

Best thing to do is head down to Central Jersey and ride it out.
