Unfortunately in our capitalistic hellscape many white collar workers are being forced to come back to offices even though their jobs can easily be done at home or remotely elsewhere.
The only people that actually want workers back in offices are middle managers that like to micromanage everyone and commercial real estate investors, because God forbid they lose a few dollars investing in a stupid antiquated concept.

It’s that the middle managers entire existence is based upon an office environment and managing people. The biggest threat to middle managers is employees at home just getting their work done on their own.
