Follow up question, I wonder what it is like for out of state'ers to have their gas pumped for them. Do they feel it is luxurious or annoying?

That’s a really good question. My GF is from Texas and she couldn’t believe it when we just sat in the car the whole time lol. She called it an “Experience”

I was asked by my out of state friends if they have to tip them. I was told him if you want to but I never do. Wawa pay thems $15 a hour.

No tip. In the old days, they even gave you a quick windshield wipe and tire check, then a tip was necessary. Now, it’s just gas, which is what they get paid to do

Gotta be like going through an automatic Car Wash, vs going to one of those Car washing stations, where you get out and operate the coin op. pressure washer.

I moved here over a decade ago. When service is fast it's fine, but it's pretty annoying to have to wait for someone else to do a simple task that I've been doing for myself - along with the rest of the country - since I was a teenager.

Grew up but no longer live in NJ. When I come back, it's super annoying if I have to wait for the attendant. It's like if you were out to eat and had a bottle of water at your table, but you could not pour your own glass.
If there's no waiting then I feel neutral about it.

I moved here from Texas 9 years ago and I find it annoying.
I have a lil car with a small tank and I find the order of operations frustrating. I often wait several minutes after my tank is full (since it's half the size of an SUV's) for them to circle back to me.

I think it's annoying. Been here 6 years, and I still stretch as long as I can between fillups bc I hate the process of having someone else pump.

Born and raised in South Jersey, 29 years.
Been away for 29 more years.
One of the last trips back the gas monkey flooded the side of my truck with gasoline. After I tore into him about what an asshole he was, he then proceeded to try and wipe the spilled fuel off with the windshield squeegee!
No thank you, it's annoying. Get the fuck away from my truck.
