I tip well at restaurants and other situations where tipping is expected.

I have lived in NJ my entire life and have never even considered tipping the gas station attendant.

The reason I tipped the gas station workers is because I thought their main income would be from tips. But yea if it's not even common I guess I wouldn't next time

No, they aren’t paid as tipped workers like restaurant servers are.
