Hi everyone 😊, I was wondering if anyone knew of any companies that sponsor H1B visas in a chemical field?

I recently got a promotion at work to move to Englewood,NJ from the UK (I’m American) and my husband (British) needs to find a job with H1B sponsorship in the area (within 1 hour drive ideally). We are applying for a green card but it is meant to take 1-2years to process.

He has a Chemistry masters and PhD.

Thanks so much for your help and apologies for the slightly off topic post.

Thanks!

Have you tired using LinkedIn? They have so many jobs especially in NJ for someone in the chemistry field. Maybe look at some colleges as well if he is interesting in teaching to.

Thank you! 😊 he applied to a bunch of the weekend. The only worry I have is they don’t specifically call out if they sponsor or not so it’s hard to know if they’re open to it.

They do if they need the person and I imagine that field is very specialized. But applying doesn’t hurt lol plus if recruiters see the resume is a perfect fit they will find something..

Merck or (MSD) outside of the USA. We also have J&J, Thermofisher, BASF, and Evonik. Roche is also here too.

Higher Ed. He’s not going to be able to start until next October with a private employer (and that’s assuming he gets selected in the lottery). Best to go find an employer that doesn’t need to file through the lottery.

WuXi AppTech in Cranbury is hiring. Idk what kind of chemistry he does, or if they do the visa thing, but they are hiring and he won’t be the only Brit.

If you are citizen and legally married, does he really need sponsorship?

We can get a green card which we are doing but it takes 1-2 years for the government to process it so unfortunately he can’t work until then.

H1B is a long process to. What visa are you on if you dont mind me asking? He might be eligible for a EAD card depending on the situation.

Search companies via their presense here in NJ and then filter their job portals by site. Apply and then check with HR directly. In my experience visa sponsor option is not always announced on job posting.
