I’ve been trying to figure out something nice to do for him since he can pass at any moment and this is the only thing i can think of. He always loved cars and took me as a kid to the Atco Raceway in jersey. This was all pretty sudden as he just got diagnosed the last week of September and deteriorated super quick.

I still don’t know if its practical given his state of health, but if i’m gonna do it I have to have it planned anyway.

There’s several car shows in Camden/Burlington/Gloucester/Cumberland tomorrow and Sunday. Google “south Jersey car shows” and scroll through the events.

Some car people can be jerks, but the vast majority are in it for the love of cars. If you go there and get one guy/gal there on board (this will be easy under the circumstances), they’ll bring all their friends and their friends will bring their friends, and you’ll have a whole parade of awesome classic cars there.

I love this idea, I'm sure you'll find a little group of people who will be more than willing to drive over to help.

Motorcycle clubs are big on doing this type of thing (esp for kids) so maybe they know of a car club.

Another great comment, my mother-in-law is involved with a dog rescue group and for a couple of years, before COVID, there were several motorcycle clubs who would participate in a big fundraiser for them which includes a ride and a bbq with all proceeds going to the rescue group.

see if there is a classic car club or something in the area - and check out car shows

I'm up in central jersey, but there's a few diners where people with classic cars meet up frm time to time
