Harassed by a Cop or someone impersonating one

Today 10/10/22 at 4:11 PM I was driving up this stretch of road in Bloomfield when I suddenly noticed a vehicle so close to my rear that I could not see its headlights. They also appeared to be trying to pass me on the right on a single lane road. Rather than let them go around on my right and push me into oncoming traffic I drifted right to maintain the lane.

He pulled up next to me and we had the following exchange:

Him: You know that's a two lane road.

Me: No it's not, it's one lane.

Him: I'm a cop, it's a one lane road.

Me: Really, show me your badge? What town are you a cop in?

Him: Show me your badge.

Me: I don't need to I have a drivers license and that's a one lane road. Where do you work? Better, yet let me take a picture and we'll find out.

He then proceeded to pull away.

He was a 40's ish white male, with dark short hair with a tight fade to the sides and straight bangs. He had a wide jaw, narrow nose and thin eyes.

He is either a cop or impersonating one and driving recklessly. He also appears to have an illegal plate cover.

I am using an obv trow away acct for obv reasons. I am an honest law abiding citizen that does not deserve to be harassed by people because they're having a bad day or whatever.

If he was really a cop he would not have been the least bit shy in whipping out his badge to prove it to you.

That's a one lane road that aggressive drivers love to drive fast down. My family had a car totaled by a fool racing out of a side street and passing on the right.

The illegal plate cover proves to me that he's not a cop. He doesn't NEED to hide his plate if he's a cop. Also cops in that area make 6 figures, they aren't driving old BMWs.

Too bad you didn't get the plate # to report him.

I may still but don’t fee like dealing w a dept that may or may not be interested based on whether they think this guy may actually be a cop.

As a matter of fact I’ve been stopped by an off duty cop in uniform from a different town and went straight to local PD to report it.

They were less than enthusiastic about starting any paperwork.

Let them be even less enthusiastic about that same paperwork with the asshole hardo next time he shows up in the station.

If they're openly resentful towards you imagine what it'll be like for them.
