From NJ live in PA now. Got a ticket in the mail for a toll violation. I have ez pass and you can clearly see my ez pass transponder in the photo enclosed jnt he ticket. Any suggestions for disputing the ticket?

Call them and let them know. Maybe be proactive and update your account with your new license plate -- I'm assuming that was the discrepancy, and let them know you did that as well.

In the past I've had to do this because new cars in the family were not added to the EZ Pass account and for some reason the transponder didn't read at the toll booth. The car driven was registered to the owner of the EZPass account so it was a non-issue.

Thanks. I've been in pa for about 8 years and been back and forth a bunch of times. I was hoping for this response though. I was not hoping to deal w njdot red tape bs.

Your pass may be non responsive.. time to replace it? (The originals were replaced en masse)

Also, check the photo carefully. I got a violation photo with my plate # on a different car! Copied my registration to show my car was not the one in the photo.

We had to replace our transponder recently, so look into that.

Is your license plate registered to your account? If it isn't when you call, have them add it. You can't add it if you have a violation. When you call, be prepared to hold for a while, but it is 1000% better than it used to be. I found the people very nice, once you get to them

You can also go online or on the app and fix this. Just add the plate the way it is on the ticket.
