It’s a great accomplishment to do oil changes yourself - just parking that here for some downvotes.

I used to, but the cost savings ended up being negligible, don't need to dispose of the oil, and a whole slew of other reasons.

Valvoline in Raritan Borough on Route 206 south of the circle, sit in your car, and if you go at an odd time you're in and out in 30m.

Seconding this -- nice, honest guys as of 4ish years ago when I moved away. I went there for the several years I lived in Hillsborough and they were always good.

Come up to Flemington shimmy shine they ha good one and you sit in your car they are very efficient, and no wiseasses

That's where I was. Hunterdon County and Shammy Shine spoiled me ! Especially the one up in Phillipsburg with the free car wash and vacuum. If I can't find anything here I might take a ride back to Flemington after all. Thanks !

Seconding, the Good year on 206 AKA American Tire service is great. We have been taking our cars there for service and tires for over 20 years. They are wonderful.

I go to Jiffy Lube on route 22 in Bridgewater. Not all the places local to me will change the oil on my car (a mini). They are swift and professional.

I think in some cases they don’t have the recommended oil, or perhaps they are a PITA to work on.

Not Hillsborough, but nearby in Raritan is Valvoline (it’s on the southbound side of 206 just past the circle). Always had good service there, they do the oil change while you’re in your car, and it’s very easy to find coupons online.

Check Groupon, there’s almost always a Groupon out there for that Valvoline that will save you a few bucks.

That’s my go-to place for oil changes, they’re friendly, helpful, and you can just chill in the car and read a book while they work.

If only Google Maps had some sort of location-based method of displaying businesses that would also provide a route from my home right to their front door.
