You probably didn't read the article but a few of the people were actually arrested in India and judging by names they all appear to be Indian nationals.

Well yeah but if they start to see other scammers extradited to the US things might change, slowly.

Fire up the wood chipper, imo. No pity for people that take advantage of the elderly.
But heck, I'm not heartless. If they pay back the money, I could be convinced that they can go into the woodchipper head first.

Throw the book at them. Won't do anything about the call centers in India, but it's a step in the right direction at least.
