They had an easier one the other day, which I guessed instantly, and immediately dialed the number, but kept getting a bunch of rings until an automated voice said they could not complete the call. I tried this several times with the same results, and later just got “user busy”. I heard somewhere that all radio contests are rigged and the “callers” are just employees who get the winnings as perks, but that may not be true. Has anyone actually won one of these?

Radio contests are real. If you are listening online, there’s a delay, and by the time you hear it and call, you’re too late.
If you’re listening on FM, you need to dial as soon as the contest starts. If you can find a landline, they connect faster than cell phones.

Switch to WDHA or Wsou... especially early in the morning. I've won tickets to plenty of shows.

I figured one of them out immediately, too, called right away and got through to an operator and was told someone two callers ago beat me to it 🙁

Like others have said, the contests are real, but you are competing against the other tens of thousands of people also listening.
I won Mets tix from 104 back when the "Radio chick" was on.
I've won concert or show tix from several stations. I probably won 10 sets for BB King before they closed from WFDU.
Also like others have said, try other stations. WSOU (89.5 - heavy metal), WFDU (89.1 - rock oldies), WDHA (105.5 - rock)
They're not as corporate as 104.3 is, so you may have an easier time.
