Pictured is the router which sent the 1st internet connection from NYC to Tokyo. These were sold out of a basement office of a home in Rahway NJ. It's signed by everyone who worked for Cisco Systems in 1989. Yes!!! I remember having ‘internet’ at home for a couple years before our school got it. A teacher told me I was lying when I said I had already been had that at home for a while. Didn’t matter to me, it was only him using it anyway (for work? For dorky telecom things? 16 bit naked ladies?) so it’s not like I knew what it was.
