Hello, I'm looking at a house in the White Horse section of Hamilton. It's just a few blocks from the circle with the Wawa and Taco Bell.

What's the vibe of the area? Does it get a lot of traffic? Is it relatively safe? What kind of jobs are in the area? What's the mass transit commute to NYC like? I see the Hamilton station is about 10 minutes away.

I currently live in Phillipsburg, and previously lived in Paterson, and Fair Lawn. So I'm not a stranger to scrappy towns. Phillipsburg is a deadzone for things to do and work. I can go into PA for stuff, but if I want to go anywhere else in NJ, I have to go at least 40 minutes on 78. It's terrible

Vibe- diverse lower middle class suburban area, fast food restaurants, pizza places, diners and Mexican food. Abbot Marshlands are nice for short hikes, fishing and kayaking. Close to Bordentown if you want a walkable area with bars/restaurants in a walkable colonial town.

The rest of Hamilton is a standard NJ suburb lots of pizza places although some other decent ethnic food options exist. Veterans Park is a nice park with lots of trails and activities. Hamilton Library is great.

Traffic- it’s busy but no where near as busy as Fair Lawn or Paterson.

Safety-further you are from the Trenton border the safer it is. Based on the prior places you’ve lived you’ll be fine with it.

Jobs- state government is a huge employer in the area, lots of private sector jobs based in Hamilton and Princeton.

Hamilton's a good spot in NJ to get anywhere, Trenton train to Philly and Hamilton to NYC. Bordentown and Princeton right near you. Lots of food and shopping close. Not a bad spot.
