Ciudad del Este in Paraguay has a large Muslim diaspora as well, which has long been viewed as an entry point of Global Islamic terrorist groups into Latin America (ie: bombing of the Israeli embassy in Buenos Aries) and source of fundraising.

There are Muslim communities all over the world. Most peaceful. But in recent decades Saudi Arabia has been radicalizing many of them with Wahhabism. Communities that have existed in peace for centuries are now preaching radicalism and making their women dress like ninjas. Its sad.

Pretty sure some people who moved from Europe to Argentina in the 40s would have a problem with the Israeli embassy, and it would have a similar problem with them.
