Amazon isn't being sued for having expensive stuff.

It's being sued for price fixing by essentially trying to control how a merchant lists their products in their own store or competing stores.

while at the same time they enforce "fair market pricing" forcing sellers on the platform to sell their products for less on Amazon platform. Sellers are not free to set their prices in either direction.

This is a lawsuit about Amazon demanding sellers not list their products for one price on Amazon and a lower price on other sites. I don't know why anyone cares about this, Amazon can set their own rules for their own site, and people can choose to follow them or not and go elsewhere. No one's forcing people to list their products on Amazon, so no one should have any kind of standing here. I also don't understand how it's non-competitive. It's EXATLY competitive, as listing the same prices everywhere is just fine, as near as I can tell.

I get so effing frustrated when I get Price Alerts nearly every day insisting that I can't sell certain items anymore unless I price it for less than I paid for it.

Well they had negative profit for FY 2022. So I suppose that's pretty easy.

Anyone else notice recently they automatically started adding those like 2 year protection plans to your cart? Like they don’t even ask me anymore. It just shows up in my cart.

I was looking at TV's yesterday and it prompts me to buy an extended warranty, but it does not add it to my cart without me clicking yes.

In my experience Amazon is about on par with other online and in-person stores. Pepperidge Farm remembers when their claim to fame was that they’re cheaper, but now people (myself included) use Amazon for selection and convenience. Not price.

What's wrong with California? Seriously I have some dislike for Amazon. But you can't tell a private business how to do business.

Amazon has every right to tell a 3rd party seller. Hey if your offering your products at a lower price on a competitive website. You need to offer that same price on our site. And if you don't. Your not going to get full exposure.
