They have a plan to stop people from flying to Canada and then coming to the US right?

chinese passport will probably be a big giveaway. and unless their going to chicago or seattle, its gonna be an expensive extra flight (or 2) or a loooooooong drive.

We can keep that 1/3 of Americans out, thank you very much.

(They mostly don't have passports, so it's a moot point)

All they need is a ride to Katie's Kountry Kafe and Walmart and they'll never need to leave their county

These would be Chinese nationals wishing to enter America. Customs and Border Patrol could simply make it a requirement. Tons of countries had vax requirements after all the lockdowns were lifted. Easy to implement

I had to have my vax card when I traveled to Canada from the US in August. Not sure if that has changed since.

None citizens already need to be vaccinated in order to enter. Legally at least.

This is such stupid right wing nonsense. We’re constantly pissing off China. Did you sleep through our arrest and home imprisonment of one of their billionaires for years that resulted in them falsely imprisoning two Canadians?

Yea but if you dump millions of positive covid vectors suddenly in the US they'll glom resources that are already kind of stretched.

How many would come here positive and sick just to walk into a hospital, get treatment, then go back and welch on payment?

If the US has so much natural immunity and super vaccines then what's the problem?

Isn't it funny how quickly these boneheads switched from laughing about how China is still taking covid seriously despite it being not so dangerous.. to the exact opposite when China does it.

China has a low vaccination rate, stopped tracking positive tests, is counting COVID deaths in the least-useful way possible, and has generally abandoned any meaningful risk-mitigation strategies.

So…no.

no, its a preventable public health emergency based off of testing.

50% of travellers to europe from china are testing positive for covid right now. a week ago china announced they were experiencing 37 million NEW covid cases a day
