I wonder how many poor kittens had to be put down because their health was too far gone

Well mine catch them and one of them eats them and pukes them, nothing like a puke covered roach on your carpet in the morning... I mean cats will usually hunt them, I guess if it's a lone roach going inside the house once a week, it's fun, but lots of them all the time? I guess not that fun.

I remember watching these shows on Animal Planet when I was younger. Really sad to see so many people become hoarders under the false impression that they're helping animals.

If it makes you feel any better, judging by the article, the cats should be fully capable of recovering and adopted out to new homes. Usually the issue that occurs in these situations is if the cat is sociable or not. The cats that aren't socialized are generally adopted out as barn cats.

Fortbend County had rescued, something like 135 to 140 cats some time back from a hoarder home.

Cats could have killed the roaches if they weren't so lazy. No one wants to work anymore.

Most of them really don’t mean any harm it’s awful. I actually bought a cat from a hoarder, she had somewhere between 15-20 cats on the second floor of her small home some of the cats were literally living in travel kennels stacked in the laundry room. She was being evicted and had to rehome her cats which was devastating for her. The cats were absolutely better off being rehomed but it’s still heartbreaking to see. My cat was one of her favorites and was evidently quite pampered he came home with us to continue a long life of pampering.

May have had a roach problem, but sure as heck, didn't have a rodent issue.
