Despite the horrid shit they're doing, this was a surprise; many of us thought it was bluster and they'd back down on these ridiculous trials, which will certainly not stop people taking to the streets. This was a huge (and stupid) gamble to quell by fear, and it won't work.

I do not know about Iran that much

but in my knowledge of unrelated countries I know what persistent determination looks like : when a people have made up their minds to get rid of an unjust government

Iran is now such a place

Maybe it will take a long time, but this will not go away
