Jersey is not part of the UK. It’s a Crown Dependancy.

In a sense, but they’re different from British Overseas Territories.

They have they’re own government and separate laws from the mainland UK but the Duke/King Charles is the head of state.

I saw the BBC article and posted, and THEN read the article. Bailiwick Jersey is an Isle off of France that is not part of the UK but under a Crown Dependency.

It is the largest and southernmost of the Channel islands.

I am also apologizing as apparently, lives were lost.
