I have a 4 year old black lab. Not the cheapest pet, but he's worth every penny. I wouldn't give Kirby back if I was OP. It sounds like she doesn't want to return to her old owner

My German shepherd has also been more valuable to me than all the money I’ve spent on him. Keep the dog. Screw the person, they shouldn’t have ever given him up if they truly loved him.
