I have a feeling hes just the act of fear. Timeo means to fear, but its an infinitive, which means its an action that doesnt end or begin

Well it's not an infinitive, isn't it? Timere would be the infinitive, while timeo is 1st person singular, or like the user above me pointed out, "I fear"...
