Oh come on, he did intend on ending it clearly, and then stuck it like a good husband. People make mistakes, people fall în and out of love and it's hard to break up a marriage just like that, it's a few months after 10 years of marriage in a bad time and he did break it off to fulfil his vows (and intended to grow the balls to divorce.) People get crushes when married, it makes sense to not break off the marriage over it until you know for sure it's more than a crush.
