Not us, no. But the future of humanity, if we do indeed choose this path, is a hell of our own making. I've been thinking about it too. If this message is indeed from the future, I doubt we would be able to change it, because then of course, I would have never received the message in the first place.

Humanity lasting for 100s of trillions of years up to that point is still pretty impressive even if the ending to us (and I’m guessing most other life kinda sucks)

I got the impression that we gave up when the Earth eventually got, or will get, swallowed up by our sun when it becomes a red giant, so we sent out these pods that could stay self-sufficient for such a vast period of time. I think most people can agree that actual humanity will not last that long, but such pods might be able to.

Even living up to 1.5b years is impressive as heck. I wouldn't count for humanity to survive in next 150 years... So, are you sure this is the message from the future and not from the past? From, let's say, previous universe?

The particles we are dealing with move only backwards in time.

It's antiparticle only moves forward. There is only one particle in the entire universe, racing forward and back, reversing polarity when reaching either end, and returning. Everything in the universe is made of this one particle, taking its place for the briefest of instances, before flying off to be part of something else in the past or future. The one particle is quadrillions of quadrillions of times older than time itself, because it is everything, and everything is composed of it, one particle/instance at a time.

And boy, is that particle tired!
